APOEL Nicosia v Anderlecht match stats

APOEL Nicosia are unbeaten in 19 consecutive home games in all competitions

Anderlecht meanwhile have lost their last two matches away from home

Both teams have scored in 7 of Anderlecht's last 8 Europa League games

APOEL Nicosia v Anderlecht

APOEL Nicosia have finished the regular season in Cyprus' top tier as the league leaders, four points clear of second placed AEK Larnaca. Boss Thomas Christiansen will now hope his side can continue that form into the Championship round of fixtures, whilst finding a way through their cup quarter final against AEK as they go in search of a domestic double.

In Europe, Christiansen will have been delighted with his side's efforts this season as well. His side came through the group stages by winning four of their six matches, including all three of their home games before overcoming Spanish La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao in something of a shock result in the last round. Despite this, they remain out at odds of 17/10 to win this first leg at William Hill.

Anderlecht are also fighting towards the top of their domestic division as they currently sit behind league leaders Club Brugge on matches won heading into the final game of the regular season. As the most decorated club in the country, Paars-Vit will be expecting to kick on in the play-off stages and look to earn their 34th top tier title in Belgium.

Having failed to reach the Champions League this term following their defeat to Rostov in qualifying, Rene Weiler's men were strong in the Europa League group stages, losing only once when they had already secured qualification. In the first knock-out round, they Zenit St Petersburg on away goals and they'll hope to win the first leg of this round of 16 clash at 13/8 with Ladbrokes.

APOEL Nicosia have a fantastic home record, both in Europe and in domestic football. They remain unbeaten in 19 home matches in all competitions and they haven't lost in Europe at Neo GSP since 2015. Anderlecht have the attacking stars to get themselves an away goal in this game, but we think the bookies have under-rated the Cypriot side and so we're backing the home win and BTTS bet at 5/1 with bet365.

Igor de Camargo will hope to shoulder the goalscoring burden for APOEL with Pieros Sotirou suspended due to his sending off against Athletic Bilbao in the last round. The 33 year old de Camargo has scored 11 goals in all competitions this term and as an ex-Standard Liege player, he'll be desperate to find the net against his former rivals at odds of 23/10 with BetVictor.

Schalke 04 vs. Borussia Monchengladbach

Schalke will host Borussia Monchengladbach for their Europa League 8th finals and their second of three clashes in just 12 days, hoping to now secure a home win (priced at 5/4 with BetVictor) and earn a sizeable advantage ahead of the return match at Borussia Park.

However, after their confident mid-February win at PAOK (0-3), Die Konigblauen haven't been anywhere near consistent following up with three draws (1-1 at Koln, 1-1 against PAOK, and 1-1 to Hoffenheim) and two losses in their last two outings (3-0 at Bayern Munich and 4-2 at Die Borussen). They have looked better in front of the home fans throughout the season, but we don’t feel they can bounce back just as quick and we’ll now rather stick our necks out for a Draw at 23/10 with William Hill.

Borussia Monchengladbach indeed travel in much better shape than their rivals having earned four wins in a row and they’ll surely be a big challenge, especially with confidence taken from their last week’s win Schalke. They’ve largely improved their form since the New Year and now look a very tough squad to beat both at home and on the road.

Nonetheless, they have had troubles at the back and haven’t been able to keep a clean sheet against stronger sides, which will be a worry for Dieter Hecking. We now fancy both sides to find the net and we’ll back a Yes on Both teams to score at 3/4 with bet365. Despite a poor series of results, Schalke have netted five goals in their last five outings and they’ll be highly motivated to make this match count if they want to make it into the quarter-finals.

Schalke 04 vs. Borussia Monchengladbach Stats
Borussia have much better overall head-to-head records against Schalke (38/24/26), but they’ve earned just one win in their last four trips to VELTINS-Arena (0-2 in October 2015) and suffered three losses in the process. They have outclassed Die Konigblauen last week (4-2) but Schalke will be much more of a challenge here.

EUROPE: Europa League - Play Offs - 1/8-finals

21:05 Schalke - B. Monchengladbach

Pick: Over 2,5 Goals

STAKE: Solution INSIDER 8/10

Celta Vigo vs FK Krasnodar betting tips

Celta Vigo ousted strongly-fancied Shakhtar Donetsk in the previous round of the Europa League and will now fancy their chances of seeing off another team from the former Soviet Union.

With Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal bowing out two weeks ago, it is now down to Celta Vigo to uphold Spanish pride in the Europa League which has been won by their La Liga rivals and Champions League hopefuls Sevilla for the last three seasons.

The portents for Eduardo Berizzo’s side did not look good when they lost 1-0 at home to Shakhtar. But they did brilliantly to turn it around in the Ukraine, hanging in there until getting a last-gasp penalty which Iago Aspas converted to send the tie into extra time and then a goal from defender Gustavo Cabral won it for the Spaniards.

It was a fully deserved victory in Lviv because Celta were the better team throughout and as Spanish clubs usually take the Europa League a bit more seriously than their counterparts from some of the other top football countries, they could be a tough nut to crack for the remainder of the competition.

FK Krasnodar, meanwhile, got past Fenerbahce in the round-of-32 thanks to a 1-1 draw in Istanbul having edged the first game 1-0 at home.

And they did so despite having much less recent match practice than their opponents as they were still on the Russian winter break, from which they resumed with a creditable 2-2 draw against league leaders Spartak Moscow at the weekend.

Celta’s latest result was much less impressive, losing 5-0 at Barcelona, but they are in a position where it makes sense to focus on Europe as a potential route into the Champions League next season.

There is plenty of water to go under that particular bridge first, of course, but the Sky Blues can take another important step by claiming a first-leg advantage against their Russian visitors.

Celta Vigo vs FK Krasnodar stats

Celta Vigo are unbeaten at home to Russian clubs, winning two and drawing two of their four games

FK Krasnodar lost 1-0 to Real Sociedad in 2014 on their only previous appearance in Spain

Both teams have scored in eight of FK Krasnodar’s last 10 matches
