Fenerbahce vs Konyaspor

Konyaspor travel to Istanbul for their Matchday 25 clash at Fenerbahce after suffering a thrashing 0-3 home loss to Istanbul Basaksehir last week and looking for a return to their best shape. However, we don’t see them causing an upset here with their current spell of form and we’ll back a home win on the day at 4/9 with William Hill.

Fenerbahce have earned a narrow win at Antalyaspor last week (2-3) after going behind early on, but the win has now made it three in a row and there will surely be confidence taken from it. We thus expect them coming into the match strong in need of points to keep their hopes of catching up with the top 2 alive, and bagging the important points.

We’ve seen Fener in trouble, dropping out of the Europa League to Krasnodar (1-1 on aggregate) and going on to earn just a draw at Gaziantepspor (1-1) in late February, but they’ve then earned wins over Kayserispor (0-3 in Cup), Osmanlıspor (1-0) and ultimately Antalyaspor. Konyaspor have, by contrast, struggled for points and dropped towards mid-table with two losses, three draws and just a single win in their last six outings so it’s hard to see them snatching any points on a tough away day at Ulker Stadium.

They have struggled to maintain their goalscoring form, bagging just three goals in the process, and we don’t see them making an impact here. Fenerbahce have been rock-solid at the back, conceding just one goal in their last five home outings, and we’ll now also back them to keep another clean sheet at a good-looking 10/11 with bet365.

Sari Kanarya have done just that in all of their last three head to head encounters, earning convincing wins (0-3 in April, 2-0 in May, and 0-1 in October) along the way. With the visitors in much worse form at this point, we expect a similar performance from the home side on the day.

Borussia Dortmund vs Ingolstadt

Borussia Dortmund will host Ingolstadt for their Matchday 25 clash just days after their Tuesday’s DFB Pokal clash at 3. Liga side Sportfreunde Lotte. Although we might see a somewhat rotated line-up on the day for a busy schedule, we do expect they can easily outclass Sportfreunde with more fringe players involved. We thus feel the home side will be able to come into this match just as strong and secure the points with a win currently priced at 2/9 with bet365.

BVB have been making some slip-ups on the road and their 2-1 loss at Hertha last week has just reiterated the issue for Thomas Tuchel. However, their home form has remained intact throughout most of the season as Die Borussen now come into the match earning nine wins and a draw in their last ten outings there. They’ve also been very convincing, especially against struggling sides, and going for Asian Handicap and BVB to win -1.5 also seems a very solid bet to get behind at 7/10 with the same bookie.

Ingolstadt, by contrast, sit in the relegation zone with just 19 points earned in 24 games played and suffering five losses, with two wins and a draw also on record, since mid-January will surely not do wonders for the team morale. Their away form will be even more worrying (with ten losses in 15 games across competitions) ahead of the tough away day at Signal-Iduna-Park and we don’t see them challenging for the points on the day.

With die Borussen in hot goalscoring form, Over 2.5 goals FT also comes as more of a banker bet at 8/15 with Ladbrokes. They have netted three or more goals in each of their last three home games and this does seem a perfect chance to continue the streak. In-form Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has led the attacking line with 22 goals in 22 league appearances this term and eight in hist last four across competitions, so he’ll now be our top pick to score first too, coming at Evens with William Hill.

Las Palmas vs Villarreal

Villarreal travel to Gran Canaria for their Matchday 28 clash on Friday on the back of a 0-1 win at Celta de Vigo, which has made it five in their last six matches, and we’ll now back them to continue the streak with a Double Chance – Away win or Draw at 11/20 with BetVictor.  

El Submarino Amarillo have picked up their form following Europa League loss to Roma and returned to challenge for a top 4 spot with several great results in the process. We’ve seen them earn wins at Sociedad (0-1), Roma (0-1), Osasuna (1-4), and Celta de Vigo (0-1), losing only to Real Madrid in front of the home fans in the process (2-3) after taking a 2-0 lead early in the second half.

Although there have obviously been crucial errors at the back, they have improved defensively and kept some very important clean sheets in the process. With Las Palmas struggling for consistency and points (just one win in their last eight outings), we do see a very interesting clash looming and the visitors snatching at least a point on Friday in the end.

Las Palmas have scored and conceded a lot of goals recently (11/9 in their last three matches), and we expect a thrilling contest on the day too. Villarreal haven’t regained consistency just yet, with some open spaces at the back, and the home side should be able to use that, where scoring just one would open up a great match for neutral spectators.

We’ll now stick our necks out for that scenario, backing Over 2.5 goals FT at 19/20 with Ladbrokes, which could prove to be the best way to approach the fixture. Villarreal have netted nine and conceded four goals in their last four outings, and on the balance of things, this could end up being one of their most exciting outings recently.
